Brush Fire In Livermore Held to 20-Acres

Firefighters battled overnight to stop the forward progress of a brush fire burning in the Altamont area.

LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters have already stopped the forward progress of a vegetation fire in the Altamont area of Livermore, according to Cal Fire.

The "Cross Fire" was first reported by Cal Fire at 9:55 p.m. Saturday in the vicinity of Patterson Pass Road and Cross Road. Upon arrival, units estimated the size of the fire at 20 acres.

Firefighters waged a quick initial attack with ground resources, Cal Fire said. Units will remain on the scene until all the hot spots have been fully extinguished.
