Livermore Police Make Several Arrests, Recover Stolen Truck During DUI Checkpoint
Livermore police released the results of their annual Strike Night operation on Dec. 12.
LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police made 10 DUI arrests and recovered a stolen semi-truck during a DUI checkpoint last Friday.
The department said that over the course of 10 hours last Friday, officers made 188 traffic stops, resulting in 75 citations and 10 DUI arrests. Officers also reportedly made one other arrest, and recovered a stolen semi-truck.
The department's annual "Strike Night" was made possible through grant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The department said that it is posting additional officers to its patrol through New Year's as part of its "Drive Sober of Get Pulled Over" campaign.

Pleasanton police said that at their checkpoint on Dec. t, they made 6 DUI arrests, issued citations to 21 unlicensed or suspended drivers, and picked up one hit-and-run warrant.
Dublin Police Services is holding a DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday night at an undisclosed location in the city.
