Child Molestation Case Postponed

A man accused of sexually abusing a child in Livermore appeared briefly in court Wednesday. He is scheduled to return to court on May 15.

A 37-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a child under 14 in Livermore is scheduled to return to court on May 15.

David Charles Garrison briefly appeared in court Wednesday for a scheduled arraignment and plea. His attorney, Hayward-based Jules Bonjour, requested the matter be postponed so that he can review new information he received on the case.

Garrison was arrested in Livermore on April 22 on suspicion of sexually abusing a child under 14, court records show.

A police report says the victim told a detective that the alleged sex crimes have been going on for about two years.

Garrison is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin in lieu of $450,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled at 9 a.m. May 15 in Department 701 of the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton.
