Coroner IDs Livermore Man Killed In Dublin Crash

The fatal Friday night collision prompted a Sig-alert because of blocked lanes, CHP officers said.

DUBLIN, CA — A 63-year-old man killed in a highway crash Friday night in Dublin has been identified as Livermore resident Dana Everts, according to the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau. The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. on the connector ramp from southbound Interstate Highway 680 to westbound Interstate Highway 580, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Sig-alert was issued because of blocked lanes, but all lanes had reopened by 11:17 p.m., CHP officers said.

CHP officials told KPIX that they believe the driver may have committed suicide by jumping from the overpass onto the road below. More details about the crash were not immediately available.
