East Bay Hit Triple Digits Over The Weekend
The heat arrived as predicted over the weekend, bringing afternoon temperatures well into triple digits for some East Bay communities.
LIVERMORE, CA — Some parts of the East Bay hit 105 degrees and above Saturday as part of a heat wave that is expected to end early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Livermore saw a temperature reading of 107 degrees while Concord hit 105. Other parts of the Bay Area also saw triple-digit temperatures, with Santa Rosa at 101 degrees, weather service officials said.
The weather service had issued a heat advisory that runs through Sunday for the inland Bay Area and Central Coast. On Sunday, the highest temperatures are expected to be in the 90s with some inland locations possible reaching triple-digit temperatures again, forecasters said.

There is supposed to be gradual cooling heading into the Fourth of July holiday Tuesday, where highs are expected to be in the 80s in most inland locations and 60s to low 70s along the coast, according to the weather service.
