Fire East Of Livermore Contained At 7 Acres

LIVERMORE, CA — A vegetation fire in Alameda County was contained at 7 acres by area firefighters Wednesday afternoon. According to a tweet from Cal Fire around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday units were deployed to a 3-to-5 acre fire in the area of Interstate Highway 580 and Grant Line Road. An updated tweet said the fire had been contained at 7 acres.

According to Alameda County Fire Department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles, her agency, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Cal Fire all responded. Firefighters remained in the area for about two hours to put out hot spots.

There were no reports of injuries.
