SEE: Firefighters Tackle 50-Acre Altamont Pass Fire
The fire was reported Sunday night near the landfill.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A vegetation fire on Altamont Pass in unincorporated far eastern Alameda County burned about 50 acres Sunday night, the Alameda County Fire Department reported.
The fire was first reported at 8:19 p.m. Sunday near the Landfill just north of Altamont Pass Road. Fire crews from the Alameda County department, as well as Cal Fire and the Camp Parks Fire Department had the fire fully contained before 10 p.m. Sunday.
There were no reports of injuries or damage to structures.
