Grass Fire Contained In Livermore: LPFD

Firefighters extinguished a small grass fire near Las Positas Road Tuesday.

LIVERMORE, CA — A vegetation fire spread to half an acre Tuesday before it was extinguished by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon around the 3000 block of Las Positas Road in Livermore, according to LPFD. When firefighters arrived, the fire had spread to a quarter-acre, and was contained to a half-acre within 20 minutes.

On May 22, the Midway Fire burned over 260 acres east of Livermorebefore it was contained.
