Gun Safety To Be Top Focus At Upcoming Livermore Community Meeting
The event is scheduled for June 29.
LIVERMORE, CA — There will be a community meeting focused on gun safety in Livermore June 29 at Christensen Middle School.
The informational meeting will discuss firearm safety and what it means for families and the community, according to a news release from Livermore Advocates Education (Livermore Indivisible) and Livermore Valley Moms Demand Action.
Livermore police will talk about the Secure Firearm Ordinance passed in April, Red Flag laws and take questions from community members.

A new program called Be SMART will be presented. The program is designed to help parents and adults normalize talking about gun safety, the release said.
Livermore Valley Moms Demand Action and Livermore Indivisible sponsored the meeting.
