Livermore House Fire Destroys Kitchen, Displaces Residents
The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department estimates repair could cost between $50,000 to $75,000.

LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore kitchen fire resulted in major damage to a home in the 510 block of Rincon Avenue Thursday afternoon.
There were no injuries, but residents of the home have made plans to stay elsewhere.
Fortunately, the house is close to Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Station 7 and Battalion Chief Dan Moyles said he was at the scene moments after it was called in. The fire was confirmed around 12:55 p.m. and smoke could be seen rising from the building.

Firefighters knocked in windows to ventilate smoke inside the home and were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen, which was destroyed. The home was red-tagged by the city.
The cost assessment is still underway, but Moyles believed the damage could total $50,000 to $75,000.
