Watch: I-580 Driver Violently Rams Vehicle With His 9-Year-Old Daughter In Car, CHP Says
Dashcam footage shows the driver hitting a car in another lane, causing the affected car to hit another car and spin out.

LIVERMORE, CA — A driver on I-580 westbound near Isabel Avenue could face assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment charges after intentionally ramming into another car, the California Highway Patrol alleges.
On Sunday at around 4:16 p.m., CHP officers responded to reports that a Chevrolet truck sideswiped a Jeep, causing it to crash into a car traveling nearby. Dashcam footage posted on CHP shows the truck sideswiping the oncoming Jeep, causing it to crash into a nearby Toyota Land Cruiser, then spinout in the middle of the freeway. The Chevrolet, driven by a man with a young child in the vehicle, then fled the incident, according to the CHP.
Investigators later determined that the driver's 9-year-old daughter was in the car at the time, according to CHP. The CHP is seeking charges for assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment.
