No new details have been given regarding two shootings three days apart that closed the interstate for hours.

LIVERMORE, CA —California Highway Patrol is still looking for information on two shootings that happened within the last week on I-580.

A shooting shut down I-580 for nearly three hours on April 7 in Livermore and caused a massive traffic backup.

Another interstate shooting three days later closed down all westbound lanes of I-580 in Oakland near SR-13. CHP closed the interstate around 3:49 p.m. April 10 and it didn't reopen until nearly four hours later.

"A Nissan Murano with multiple occupants was traveling westbound on I-580 when an unknown vehicle pulled alongside of it and at least one occupant proceeded to fire multiple rounds toward the Nissan. Two occupants within the Nissan were struck by gunfire," CHP said.

The victims in that shooting were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect drove off. CHP was not able to get any details regarding the suspect's vehicle.

No suspect information has been given in either shooting and it is unknown if they are related.

Anyone with information regarding either situation is asked to contact the CHP Investigative Tip Line at (707) 917-4491.
