Livermore Man Killed At San Leandro Gas Station, Suspect Arrested
A Stockton man allegedly shoved a 78-year-old Livermore gas attendant into a pole during an argument, causing fatal injuries.
LIVERMORE, CA — A Stockton man was arrested on suspicion of murdering a Livermore resident working at a San Leandro gas station, the San Leandro Police Department reported.
Wadih Badran, a 78-year-old resident of Livermore, was arguing with the suspect, 40-year-old Dennis Lee of Stockton, after Lee was found loitering behind the Speedway station where Badran worked, according to witness statements. During the argument, Lee allegedly approached Badran from behind and shoved him into a pole, causing fatal head and neck trauma.
Lee ran into a nearby neighborhood while police conducted an extensive search, according to the SLPD. Authorities were able to track him down using surveillance footage, Flock Public Safety camera footage, and collected forensic evidence.

On Friday, Lee was taken into custody near his home in Stockton. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Lee Monday with murder and weapons violations.
