Man Flown To Hospital After Reported Hit-and-Run

Officials say a man was taken to a hospital by helicopter after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Holmes Street and Concannon Boulevard.

A 25-year-old man was flown to a hospital after he told officials he was hit by a vehicle while walking at the intersection of Holmes Street and Concannon Boulevard, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Peters said.

Emergency crews were sent to the reported hit-and-run at around 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, Peters said.

However, officials said there are no witnesses to the incident.

The man complained of lower-back pain and numbness, and a helicopter was called to transport him to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. The helicopter landed in a dirt lot on Concannon Boulevard across the Luckys Supermarket.
