Man, Friend Get Shot After Gun Demo; Cops Arrest Firearm Owner
Investigators said Victor Young Corral was displaying a firearm to a friend when it discharged, striking them both.

STOCKTON, CA — A 46-year-old man was arrested over the weekend in Stockton after shooting himself and a friend while showing off a gun, according to police.
Officers responded around 1:30 p.m. Saturday to the 8100 block of Palisades Drive in the city's Valley Oak District after reports of a shooting, the Stockton Police Department said on social media.
Investigators said Victor Young Corral was displaying a firearm to a friend when it discharged, striking them both. They were taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Corral was later arrested and booked on suspected weapons violations, police said.
