Donations given in the month of August to the Community Health and Education Foundation will be matched 50%.
LIVERMORE, CA — Registration is open for the Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy's third annual Roadrunner Run, a school wide event to raise funds for educational enrichment programs and STEAM initiatives at Marylin.
This year, all contributions made through the Community Health and Education Foundation Giving Community platform during the month of August will be matched at 50%. See here to donate.
Funds raised from this year's event will go toward custom Roadrunner Run shirts, run day supplies and decorations, celebration snacks and student prizes, and PTO-funded enrichment, including field trips, school-wide assemblies, staff support, and more.

“The Roadrunner Run is one of our favorite school traditions,” Marylin Principal Joe Meunier said in a statement. “It’s not just about fundraising—it’s about creating unity, movement, and showing our students that their education is worth celebrating.”
The PTO is currently seeking local business sponsors and community donations. Sponsors will be able to advertise in newsletters, event shirts, banners, and social media.

“Our families worked hard to raise nearly $20,000 in pledges last year, but it’s the generous community sponsorships that make the event possible and truly bridges the gap,” PTO President Rachael Prentiss said in a statement. “Those contributions allowed us to give every classroom a stipend for needed items and provide funding for field trips. As a Title I school, we rely heavily on donors to help create opportunities that every child deserves.”
The run will take place Friday, Oct. 17.
