The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed three new businesses in March.

LIVERMORE, CA — The time has come to celebrate new businesses in Livermore, in person.
The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed three new businesses in March with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
“It’s clear that business owners are relishing the opportunity to open their new businesses and welcome new customers all the while operating in a safe and healthy environment, sans the heavy restrictions necessitated by the deadly COVID-19 pandemic,” Dawn Argula, LVCC CEO said.

One of the new businesses is Khivi Care Assisted Living. The owners, Sharan Kaur and Rani Dhillon purchased a home in a South Livermore neighborhood and redesigned it to meet the state's regulations and guidelines for residential care facilities for the elderly, LVCC said.
The home can accommodate six residents and has an outdoor area with a garden. Their hiring process is in its final stages and they plan to welcome their first resident soon.

Bike lovers now have a new repair shop in Livermore. AJ’s Bike Service opened in one of the garage bays of the historic Flying A Gas Station on Portola Avenue.
The owner, A.J. Wright, started the businesses out of his home during the pandemic after he was laid off from his job at a local bicycle shop. His shop took off and needed its own commercial space, which led him to Portola Avenue.
LVCC said AJ’s Bike Service is the first recipients of the new LVCC Membership Pilot Program for emerging micro-and small businesses funded by the City of Livermore.
Kumon Math & Reading Center of Livermore-Springtown was celebrated Monday. Located on Larkspur Drive, Kumon is an after-school academic enrichment program for students three years old through high school age. LVCC said the Livermore-Springtown Kumon Center is ‘designed for maximum efficiency and learning effectiveness, observing all health and safety protocols for its students.’
LVCC said the enthusiasm at the center and the other businesses was palpable.
“The joy and excitement on their faces as they welcomed the Chamber team and their visitors, was unmistakable. We look forward to continuing to support the success of all our businesses as the economy stabilizes and we resume our regular, new, and hybrid programs and services,” Argula said.
