New Frontrunners Emerge In Livermore School Board Race
The third-place candidate moved up to second place, usurping the candidate initially in first place.

LIVERMORE, CA — A new candidate is on the Livermore school board as of 2:58 p.m., the last time Alameda County updated its results.
Six candidates are vying for two spots in an exceedingly close race where each candidate is separated by just a few hundred votes. Maggie Tufts, who was formerly in first place, slipped to second, and then to third. Christiaan VandenHeuvel moved up to second place, meaning if the numbers don't change, he and Deena Kaplanis will be the new board candidates.
The totals have not yet been officially certified as final by the county. The next updates will come in Friday.
