Organizers Prepare for Livermore Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Volunteers are encouraged to attend an information and planning meeting on Wednesday.

Here's an announcement provided by organizers for the Livermore Community Thanksgiving Dinner:

The Livermore Community Thanksgiving Dinner is celebrating 30 years of providing a FREE hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. Our guests include seniors, singles, shut-ins, families and veterans from the VA Hospital. This dinner is for anyone alone or without on Thanksgiving Day. On Thanksgiving Day between 1 to 5 p.m. we will be serving over 1000 meals and delivering hundreds more to those unable to attend. We also have transportation available to give people rides to and from the dinner. If you need a ride or a meal delivered please call 925-455-9782.

If you are interested in helping out there will be an information and planning meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Bothwell Center, 2466 8th Street. We will begin volunteer sign-ups at this meeting.

For more information please call anytime or check out our web site at WWW.LCTD.ORG. Thank you for your cooperation and Happy Thanksgiving!
