Palmetto Superfoods, Popular Bay Area Açai Chain, Opens Livermore Location

The new smoothie and açaí bowl location is launching a soft opening this week. A City Center location is also planned to open.

LIVERMORE, CA — The popular Palmetto Superfoods chain is now open in Livermore, bringing cool, fresh Brazilian açai bowls to the Tri-Valley.

The first Palmetto Superfoods opened in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco in 2019, after founder Charles Lee was inspired by Brazilian açai restaurant Café de Casa. Since then, new locations have opened up elsewhere in San Francisco, Burlingame, San Jose, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Corte Madera, and Walnut Creek.

Another location is planned at City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, according to the Palmetto website.
