Person Dies After Walking On I-580 In Livermore
The lanes of I-580 were closed early Thursday morning following the crash.

LIVERMORE, CA — The California Highway Patrol reports that a person walking on Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore died early Thursday after being struck by a vehicle.
The CHP reported at 4:10 a.m. that the right three lanes of the westbound six-lane highway are closed near the interchange of North Livermore Avenue.
At 3:41 am., the CHP began receiving reports of a person walking in the center divider, on the roadway and on the shoulder of Interstate 580.

A report at 4 a.m. said the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, which then pulled over to the right shoulder. One witness said the pedestrian jumped in front of the vehicle, according to the CHP.
