LIVERMORE, CA — A revamped Flagpole Plaza is ready and open for business. Over the past few months, the plaza has been closed as crews install a number of new features, including:

  • A restored public gathering space that includes game new game tables for chess, checkers, and other board games
  • Enhanced outdoor dining areas
  • New stamped concrete walkways and landscaping
  • Improved accessibility
  • Upgraded lighting
  • Advanced security cameras connected to the Livermore Police Department's Real-Time Awareness Center

The project cost about $3.5 million, using funds from gas taxes, Measure B, and Measure BB. See here for more information.

Crews will still be installing minor features throughout August and September, but the park is ready for use now.
