1 Injured In Livermore Shooting After A Car Did Doughnuts
The shooting happened just after midnight Wednesday.

LIVERMORE, CA — A man who saw a car doing doughnuts in his neighborhood was injured in a shooting in Livermore just after midnight Wednesday, police said.
The 40-year-old man was shot and went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police did not identify the man. His condition was not known.
Police arrested Manuel Ixta, 20, of Livermore, on suspicion of evading police in connection with the shooting. He may be charged with additional counts, police said.

The man who was shot was trying to get the license plate number of a car doing doughnuts in the neighborhood, police said. As the victim drove away, he was struck by a bullet from behind his car, police said.
“Reckless driving will not be tolerated in Livermore and there will be increased patrols in the area looking for those who violate the law,” the Livermore Police Department said.

Police initially responded to Chestnut and North M Street after reports of several vehicles driving recklessly, police said.
Officers heard gunshots when they were approaching the area, police said.
"Officers located one victim, who had been shot, as the suspect vehicle drove off," police said.
Ixta was arrested near Murrietta Boulevard and Alameda Drive after officers chased him when he drove off after the shooting, police said.
