Sideshow Crackdown: Livermore PD Seizes Car Doing Doughnuts
Reckless driving is becoming a problem in the city and police are on the lookout.

LIVERMORE, CA — "Just because you got away from the scene doesn’t mean you got away!"
That's the message Livermore police are sending after an increase in sideshows in the community.
One car that was part of a show on April 11 has been seized for 30 days after it was seen doing doughnuts on Chesnut and P streets, police said.

“LPD is committed to identifying those who participate in sideshow activity and we will hold them accountable," Chief Jeramy Young said.
A man was shot April 13 after trying to get the license plate of a car he saw doing doughnuts in a neighborhood off Chestnut and M Streets. Police say that situation is unrelated to this. Manuel Ixta, 20, of Livermore, was arrested on suspicion of evading police in connection with the shooting.

As reports of people driving dangerously in the city continue to come in, police say they're on the lookout.
"Reckless driving will not be tolerated in Livermore and there will be increased patrols in the area looking for those who violate the law," the Livermore Police Department said
