Tri-Valley Juneteenth Festival Scheduled At Bankhead Plaza
Dancers, singers and drummers will join local Black-owned businesses and organizations to commemorate the holiday.
LIVERMORE, CA — The Tri-Valley Juneteenth festival is scheduled for June 19 at Bankhead Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Hundreds are expected to gather at the Bankhead Plaza for the second annual Tri-Valley festival to celebrate Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States,” a news release from Tri-Valley For Black Lives stated.
The event is free and family-friendly.

Motivational speaker, radio personality and comedian Faith Alpher will kick off the festival early on June 18 with a performance at Bankhead at 2 p.m., according to the release.
“The program combines history with humor in exploring the uplifting life stories of four consequential women of color,” the release said. Free tickets for the performance are available here.
