• Next stop, Lodi: Midday Amtrak service reinstated (lodinews.com) — Lodi residents now have a convenient weekday midday Amtrak Gold Runner train stopping at the local station around 11:42 a.m., restoring a long-missed northbound option to Sacramento. The new schedule makes same-day trips for appointments, tourism, and student field trips far easier, and local leaders hope it will boost downtown visits and wine tourism while reconnecting Lodi with communities up and down the Central Valley.
