2 Hostages Rescued In Armed Home Burglary In North Long Beach
Suspects held two people hostage during an armed home burglary in North Long Beach, authorities said.

LONG BEACH, CA — Suspects held two people hostage during an armed home burglary in North Long Beach, authorities said.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, dispatchers received a report of a burglary in progress in the 300 block of Ellis Street at about 2 a.m. Monday morning.
"The calling party reported there were two hostages in the residence and the suspects were armed," the LBPD said in a statement.

SWAT officers responded to the scene and began de-escalating the situation. Four suspects were taken into custody around 6:45 a.m., LBPD announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Both hostages were rescued safely and neither of them sustained any injuries, LBPD said. Officers said they recovered firearms at the scene.

The four men were booked into Long Beach City Jail and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
