Driver In Hit-And-Run That Injured 2 Wanted In Long Beach

Police said the car fled the scene after hitting two people walking in a crosswalk in Long Beach.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police sought the public's help in identifying the driver of a car who hit and injured two people.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash happened on July 17 at the intersection of East 4th Street and St. Louis Avenue.

Investigators said the two pedestrians were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when a white, 4-door, newer model Kia hit them. The car fled the scene without stopping, but witnesses were able to see its license plate ended in 243.

Police arrived at the scene after the collision and provided aid to the pedestrians before paramedics arrived. Both people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
