LONG BEACH, CA — Jerry Pryor, a 73-year-old homeless man, likes to help the neighborhood he calls home. He's loved by locals, and is often seen sweeping, picking up trash and pruning plants in the Lakewood Village neighborhood of Long Beach.

Last week, the Southern California Helpful Honda team showed up to return the favor to Pryor, after a friend nominated him for a random act of kindness, Fox 11 reported.

Long Beach resident Yuri Williams, who works with a nonprofit group to help sick children and the homeless, became friends with Pryor and nominated him as a deserving person of an act of kindness from the Helpful Honda team, according to the news station.
