Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Long Beach
A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after he was shot in his upper body, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday night that hospitalized one man.
The Long Beach Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Pasadena Avenue at about 8:03 p.m. When officers arrived they found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in his upper body.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

According to preliminary investigation results, the victim was sitting in his car talking to a man he knew, who was standing outside the vehicle. The conversation escalated into an argument, which prompted the suspect to pull out a gun and shoot into the car.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and the victim refused to provide additional details about the incident, LBPD said.
