Law enforcement identified the victim as Andre McClendon, 41, of Long Beach, who detectives determined was shot after being approached by several males who fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived, according to police. Officers responded around 2:15 a.m. Sunday to the shooting in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue, where they found McClendon suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said, adding that McClendon died at the scene. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call detectives at 562-570-7244. Anonymous tips may be submitted through LA Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-8477, downloading the P3 Tips app or visiting <a href="http://www.lacrimestoppers.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.lacrimestoppers.org</a>.
