PCH Closed Near Ohio Avenue after Vehicle Strikes Cyclist
The cyclist survived but was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A man was injured in Long Beach when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Pacific Coast Highway, a police official said today.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Pacific Coast Highway near Ohio Avenue, said the Long Beach Police Department’s Nancy Pratt. The cyclist was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, she said.
“The driver remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing,” she said.

PCH was closed at Ohio Avenue for the accident investigation but has reopened, Pratt said.
