Public To Get Say On 400-Acre Port Of Long Beach Pier Wind Project
If approved, the project will be the largest facility of its kind on the West Coast and will help California meet renewable energy goals.
LONG BEACH, CA — Residents will have the chance to provide input about a proposed 400-acre terminal that will house offshore wind turbines standing as tall as the Eiffel Tower near the San Pedro Bay port complex.
The Port of Long Beach is hosting two events to provide information and gather input for the upcoming environmental review for Pier Wind. Both events will start with an open house and a scoping meeting and an explanation of the environmental review process will follow.
If approved, the proposed Pier Wind Project will be the largest facility of its kind on the West Coast and will significantly help California meet its goals for renewable energy sources.
