Woman Followed By Shooter Into Long Beach
A woman fled for her life from a man who shot at her in Compton and followed her into Long Beach early Friday morning, according to LBPD.

LONG BEACH, CA — A woman fled for her life from a man who shot at her in Compton and followed her into Long Beach early Friday morning, according to Long Beach police.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, a woman contacted authorities at about 4:44 a.m. regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The woman told officers she was approached by a man she didn't know in Compton who pointed a gun at her.
The woman was able to make it to her car and flee the area into Long Beach, but while she was driving she recognized the man who pointed a gun at her in a vehicle near the 1600 block of San Francisco.

Police said the suspect shot at the woman's vehicle, striking it before the victim continued to flee and eventually made contact with LBPD near Long Beach Boulevard and 15th Street.
No injuries were reported in relation to the shooting and the investigation is ongoing, according to authorities. The motive for the shooting and additional suspect information were unknown.
