• Santa Barbara County supervisors deny permit transfer to Sable Offshore (syvnews.com) — A Los Alamos resident was among many speakers urging Santa Barbara County supervisors to deny permit transfers that would have allowed Sable Offshore to restart Exxon’s onshore oil and gas facilities and pipeline. After citing a pattern of regulatory noncompliance and safety concerns, supervisors voted 3–1 to reject the transfer, ending Sable’s bid to operate the facilities under county permits.
