LOS ANGELES, CA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should be prepared for more scattered rain storms and mountain snow starting Monday into early Tuesday. Dry weather is expected to follow through the middle of the week before a colder storm system moves into the region on Friday, forecasters said.
"It's a very dynamic system with a lot of energy with it, so it will be an efficient rainfall producer across our area. Can't rule out some isolated thunderstorms as well though chances are better to the north closer to the cold core,” the weather service said.

In other news, hundreds of migrants who entered the country illegally were released onto San Diego County streets after funding ran out for the nonprofit center that was being used as a processing center. The latest bus loads were released in San Ysidro Saturday morning, according to county officials.
In Los Angeles County, homeowners in Brentwood reported signs of homes slipping down the hillside due to recent rains saturating the ground, causing land movement in the area. The Los Angeles Fire Department said no homes have been tagged and no injuries were reported.
