5X All-Star John Wall Agrees To 2-Year Deal With Los Angeles Clippers
John Wall, a five-time All-Star guard who hasn't played since April 2021, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

LOS ANGELES — John Wall, a five-time All-Star guard who played for the Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Klutch Sports Group announced Friday that Wall's deal is worth $13.2 million.
The Rockets and Wall agreed that his contract would be bought out, Wall's preference was to sign with the Clippers, The Associated Press and Yahoo previously reported.

Wall, who turns 32 in September, will reportedly receive roughly $41 million from Houston.
Wall has been working out in recent weeks, including some sessions at the University of Miami. He played in 40 games with Houston in the 2020-21 season, averaging 20.6 points and 6.9 assists. He played his first nine seasons in Washington and, for his career, has averaged 19.1 points and 9.1 assists in 613 regular season games.

Wall did not appear in any games for Houston last season. He was selected for the All-Star Game in five consecutive seasons from 2014 through 2018. He's played in 82 games total since the last of those selections 4 1/2 seasons ago, earning $150 million in salary while doing so in a career derailed by injuries, according to AP.
Wall injury and surgical history includes undergoing surgeries on both knees in 2016, undergoing surgery for bone spurs in his left heel during the 2018-19 season , and tearing his left Achilles tendon, which necessitated another operation in 2019.
He has not appeared in an NBA game since April 2021.
