Are You Holding The $552K Powerball Ticket Sold In LA County?
A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, was sold in Los Angeles County as the jackpot climbs to more than $1 billion.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Powerball lottery ticket with five numbers excluding the Powerball number worth $552,641 was sold in Pico Rivera, the California Lottery announced.
A total of seven tickets with five numbers excluding the Powerball number sold, including one in Los Angeles County in Pico Rivera. No tickets were sold with all six numbers in Saturday's drawing.
Tickets with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, sold in other states are worth either $1 million or $2 million. Still, California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

The ticket was sold at Ramirez Liquor at 9419 Slauson Ave. There was no jackpot winner for this draw, so the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow past $1 billion, making it the fifth-largest jackpot in U.S. history.
The numbers drawn Saturday were 19, 31, 40, 46, 57 and the Powerball number was 23. The estimated jackpot was $825 million.

The drawing was the 37th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.
There were a total of 506,695 winning tickets for this draw with people winning anywhere from $4 to more than $16,000.
