West Los Angeles got its first glimpse of what may become one of the city's most talked-about new wellness destinations on Nov. 19 with the opening of ARTHA Wellness Sanctuary.

Already known in Studio City for its elevated, members-only approach to holistic healing and advanced recovery, ARTHA hosted an intimate Friendsgiving preview in celebration of its forthcoming West LA location at The West Edge complex on West Olympic Boulevard.

The evening marked more than a party -- it launched the beginning of a new chapter for a brand that has quickly become synonymous with intentional, restorative self-care in a city that never stops moving.

Guests invited to the exclusive event stepped inside the expansive 7,500-square-foot studio for an exclusive first look ahead of its December opening.

The setting offered a calming counterpoint to the city outside—warm lighting, clean architectural lines, and ARTHA’s signature sense of serenity. While this was a preview, it felt fully lived-in, an early expression of the sanctuary’s ethos: connection, balance, and purposeful wellness.

Expansion with Purpose

For founders Priyanka and Karan Khanna, the West LA opening represents both a response to demand and a natural evolution of ARTHA’s vision.

“We are so excited to finally open the West LA location. Going back to our West Hollywood roots, we always had an influx of members from the west side, so now we are able to bring our sanctuary to them, building our community of members due to geographic proximity and demand,” the Khannas said in a statement. “Our Studio City flagship has become a flourishing wellness haven for our community, so we are looking forward to opening our West LA doors this holiday season to further expand the ARTHA family.”

The Studio City location will continue to offer elevated programming, including its in-house medspa operated in partnership with Starr Medspa of Westlake Village and Beverly Hills.

At its core, ARTHA is built around the idea that wellness shouldn’t be segmented. Movement, recovery, and mindfulness are all part of one integrated journey—and the new West LA studio reflects that philosophy in full.

A robust class program will anchor the space, offering heated and non-heated yoga, mat Pilates, HIIT training, and sound bath sessions designed to balance exertion with restoration. It’s a lineup that mirrors the varied pace of modern life, inviting members to move, sweat, ground, and reset in equal measure.

Just steps away, a state-of-the-art recovery wing introduces members to some of the most advanced non-invasive therapies available. Highlights include a Full Body LED Bed, cryotherapy chamber, contrast therapy suites pairing sauna and cold plunge, float therapy rooms, and infrared saunas.

The menu continues with exclusive treatments such as massage, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and electromagnetic body sculpting—tools that support physical regulation, muscle repair, and deep cellular recovery.

A thoughtfully designed retail and lounge space rounds out the environment, encouraging rest and reconnection. Rather than functioning as a pass-through lobby, it’s a space meant to slow visitors down, making wellness feel less like a task and more like a ritual.

A Preview Party Rooted in Community

Despite its elevated setting, the Friendsgiving gathering carried a spirit of ease and warmth. VIP guests—including Dancing With the Stars’ Sharna Burgess (attending with her son in full Jack Skellington spirit), actor Ryan Phillippe, Dr. Raj Kanodia, Tell Me Lies actress Sonia Mena, and So You Think You Can Dance’s Olivia Alboher—joined wellness enthusiasts and members for an evening that blended celebration with curiosity. DJ Mer Bear curated the soundtrack, while Marvelous Creations delivered a visually stunning charcuterie spread.

Refreshments reflected ARTHA’s appreciation for both vitality and enjoyment, with offerings from Voss Water, Caliwater, Clean Juice, Perfect Amino electrolytes, and El Cristiano Tequila—including its new clean mezcal—adding a festive touch. El Cristiano was also founded by Karan Khanna. Guests explored treatment rooms, stepped inside the infrared sauna and cryotherapy chamber, and learned about the therapies that will define the West LA experience.

A New Path to Membership

Founding memberships for West LA are now available at special pre-opening rates, granting early access to classes, therapies, and exclusive programming. For those looking to explore without commitment, single classes and individual treatments will be available on a pay-per-visit basis.

Redefining Wellness in Southern California

As LA’s wellness culture evolves, ARTHA stands poised to shape the conversation—prioritizing restorative, integrative healing that honors both ancient practices and modern innovation.

With its expansion to the westside, the sanctuary invites Angelenos to pursue wellness not as a trend, but as a deeply personal, thoughtfully supported way of life.
