Brush Fire Breaks Out Off 57 Freeway

POMONA, CA — A brush fire broke out in Pomona near the 57 Freeway Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported just east of the southbound freeway near the Temple Avenue exit in Pomona, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Los Angeles County Fire Department crews were dispatched. At least one structure was reported as being damaged in the blaze, which burned about a half acre as of 1:45 p.m.
