LOS ANGELES, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should know that sunshine and mild weather has returned to the Golden State after storms pummeled the region last week.

Forecasters said Monday morning that Southlanders can look forward to a sunny, albeit windy Thanksgiving before another chance of rain arrives this weekend.

"Dry conditions are expected through at least Friday with above normal temperatures and gusty Santa Ana winds at times from Tuesday through Thursday," the National Weather Service said Monday.

In other news, new details have emerged in the case of a Riverside County teenager who was found dead and dismembered in Los Angeles in an abandoned Tesla owned by musician D4vd. Over the weekend, multiple news outlets reported that all of Celeste Rivas' body parts were “partially frozen” and thawing in the Tesla. Read more about that here.
