Doctor Accused Of Drugging And Raping Woman; Additional Victims Sought
Detectives suspect a Los Angeles doctor used job recruiting websites and offered high hourly wages to entice victims, according to the LAPD.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A doctor is suspected of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his West Los Angeles home, and police believe there may be additional victims who haven't come forward, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
On Nov. 26, police arrested Babak Hajhosseini, 42, on suspicion of sexual assault of an unconscious person, authorities announced Monday. Hajhosseini was a visiting specialist and a wound and burn doctor at Wound and Burn Centers of America in Los Angeles and Catalina Island Health in Catalina.
Last week, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office charged him with two counts of rape by use of drugs, one count of rape of an unconscious or asleep person, one count of oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, three counts of oral copulation of an unconscious or asleep person, and one count of sodomy of an unconscious or asleep person.

Hajhosseini pleaded not guilty Friday.
According to the LAPD, Hajhosseini used job recruiting websites and offered high hourly wages to locate and entice potential victims.

"He would then invite the potential victims to work overtime after hours at his residence. Once at the residence, Hajhosseini pressured at least one victim into consuming an alcoholic beverage," LAPD detectives announced in a written statement. "After consuming the beverage, the victim fell unconscious before Hajhosseini sexually assaulted and recorded her."
Detectives released Hajhosseini’s photo and urged any additional victims to come forward.
"Though he is charged with assaulting a single victim, investigators believe there are other victims who have yet to come forward," the LAPD added.
