Downtown LA's Streets Will Be Car-Free And Open To Pedestrians Oct. 13
Residents can enjoy a day of biking, walking and exploring Downtown LA during CicLAvia, which will shut down some streets to cars.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The heart of downtown Los Angeles will offer a rare sight this Sunday, Oct. 13 as some of its main corridors will be closed to cars for a day of recreation.
Bicyclists, joggers, walkers, skateboarders, roller-skaters and more will take over 7.5 miles of downtown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Open Streets event, which is funded by Metro.
For seven hours, streets connecting Boyle Heights, Chinatown, downtown, Echo Park and Little Tokyo will be open to residents to explore on foot or on a set of "people-powered" wheels.
