Driveway Attacks Leave Affluent LA Communities On Edge
Brazen attacks in residential driveways have left affluent Los Angeles communities on edge.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Two brazen driveway attacks in affluent Los Angeles communities this week have left residents on edge.
The first, which was captured on a home surveillance camera, occurred in Woodland Hills just before 11:30 a.m. on Labor Day. The footage shows a car passing the homeowner's driveway, where two men were working. The car is then seen passing the driveway again in the opposite direction, KTLA reported.
A group of three men then came charing around the corner and up the driveway. Two of them were armed with handguns, which they brandished at the workers, who raised their hands above their heads, the station reported.

The thieves snatched a watch and pocketknife from the victims before running back to their car.
The homeowner told KTLA that he feels unsafe in the Valley enclave.

“I really feel bad that in my driveway something like this happened to them,” he said. “It was a bit traumatizing for all of us and actually made me realize that I don’t necessarily want to live in Woodland Hills anymore.”
The second incident occurred early Wednesday morning in Hollywood Hills West.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded just before 2 a.m. to Devlin Drive, located above the Sunset Strip, after receiving a call from a woman regarding two armed suspects attempting to steal her boyfriend's car, according to an LAPD spokesman.
The hooded suspects eld another victim at gunpoint and stole the Mercedes-Benz, KTLA reported.
LAPD officers canvassed the area for surveillance cameras that may have captured footage of the vehicles as they left the area, according to reports from the scene.
