Eldest Son Of Ronald Reagan Dies At 80
The conservative commentator was a "steadfast guardian of his father's legacy," the former president's foundation said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The eldest son of President Ronald Reagan, conservative commentator Michael Reagan has died at 80.
His death was announced by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute, who dubbed him a "steadfast guardian of his father’s legacy."
"Michael Reagan lived a life shaped by conviction, purpose, and an abiding devotion to President Reagan’s ideals," the foundation said on X.

He is survived by his wife Colleen Stearns and their daughter Ashley and son, Cameron.
Reagan was born to Irene Flaugher in 1945 and adopted right after his birth by Ronald Reagan and his then-wife, actor Jane Wyman.

The eldest son followed in his parents footsteps, first becoming an actor before hosting a syndicated radio show and authoring several books. He attended Arizona State University and Los Angeles Valley College.
The cause of Reagan's death was not announced.
According to the Reagan Legacy Foundation, Reagan spent two decades on the airwaves as a conservative radio talk show host before he left that position to travel the country and speak about his father's values and principals in public policy.
