This Fast Food Chain Is Selling $1 Meals To SoCal Customers During Shutdown

Carl’s Jr. is offering $1 meals to customers across Southern California who have been affected by the federal government shutdown, according to reports.

Locations run by Akash Management LLC, which operates almost 300 restaurants in the region, are offering a children’s hamburger, small fries and a children’s drink for $1 as of Nov. 1, KTLA reported.

“A warm meal at a fair price can offer a moment of comfort during uncertain times, and we believe that matters,” CEO Amir Siddiqi said, according to the outlet.

To participate in the deal, which will run until the shutdown ends while supplies last, diners must show a federal employee or military ID, or a SNAP/EBT card, FOX 11 reported.
