Felines Are Flooding Los Angeles Shelters - Here's How You Can Help
Best Friends Animal Society's Pet Adoption Center in LA is in dire need of community members to adopt one of its 50 available kittens.

LOS ANGELES -- Felines are flooding the shelters and Best Friends Animal Society’s Pet Adoption Center in LA is in dire need of community members to step up and adopt one of the 50 available kittens currently residing at their center.
To help combat the growing crisis, Litter-Robot is sponsoring cat adoptions at Best Friends Pet Adoption Center at 1845 Pontius Avenue in Los Angeles daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Underage kittens continue to be among Los Angeles’ most vulnerable pet population at LA shelters. Area residents can visit bestfriends.org/kittens to learn more about how to best help kittens in their community and at our local shelters.

“We urge the greater Los Angeles County community to adopt or foster kittens to provide the direct relief needed at shelters in order to save lives,” Best Friends Pet Adoption Center iExecutive Director Brittany Thorn said.
According to Best Friends Animal Society’s recently released data, California remains the number two state with the greatest number of dogs and cats needlessly dying in the country. Five of the top six shelters with the greatest increase in dogs and cats into the shelter system were in California, while two of the top five shelters with the most pets unnecessarily killed were in the state as well.
