Flash Robbery Crew Arrested At Storefront Used As A Fence: LAPD

The Los Angeles Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF) arrested multiple suspects in connection with a "flash robbery" Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A flash mob robbery crew was arrested Tuesday when detectives caught them entering the storefront of a known fence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The Los Angeles Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF) arrested multiple suspects after they committed a “flash robbery” Tuesday at a store located in East Los Angeles, the LAPD announced.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department had been investigating the suspects in connection with previous “flash robberies” and knew they'd previously sold stolen property at a business in the 2700 block of West Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood, according to police.

Task force investigators staked out the business and saw three people matching the suspects' descriptions pull up in a black BMW.

"Three suspects who matched the description provided by LASD, exited the vehicle with what appeared to be brand new clothing and boxes of shoes,"the LAPD said in a written statement. "The three suspects then entered the business with the merchandise. Once the suspects from the East Los Angelesincident had entered the business, members of the ORCTF served the search warrant."

Police arrested Trevian Holmes, 36, of Inglewood and Los Angeles residents Aaron Isreal, 42, on suspicion of being a felon with a firearm and Brian McKing, 24, Jahiem Gillett, 21, and Devontay Pinson, 24, on suspicion of robbery.

According to the LAPD, officers recovered one firearm, cash, and numerous items that had been stolen from two local stores. Representatives from the victimized retailer responded and identified their merchandise, according to police.
