Freeway Pileup Leads To Gunfire, A Skinny-Dip, 3 Arrests And A Manhunt
Police continue to search for a suspect in a nearby neighborhood following a crash on State Route 134 in the Eagle Rock area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A pileup on the Ventura (134) Freeway near Figueroa Street led to multiple arrests and an ongoing manhunt Tuesday.
According to the Los Angeles Police department, multiple vehicles were involved in the crash on the 134 Freeway, west of Figueroa Street shortly after 3 p.m., but at least two people fled the scene of the crash on foot, heading to a home in the nearby Eagle Rock neighborhood, said LAPD Officer Rosario Cervantes told Patch.
Officers reportedly fired on a woman armed with a gun at the scene of the home on 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive, NBC Los Angeles reported.

According to KTLA, another of the suspects ran into the home on Eagle Vista Drive and then stripped and jumped into the backyard swimming pool. He was later arrested in his underwear. KTLA reported that a woman emerged from the home and fired a gun. She was arrested shortly after 4 p.m. along with the swimmer and another woman. One of the women was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital.
As of 7 p.m., three people were arrested, and authorities continues to search for a fourth suspect, said Cervantes.

Police established a perimeter in the neighborhood around the 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive, and residents are advised to shelter in place.
