Fruit Spilled In Truck Crash Prompts 60 Freeway Lane Closures

Traffic was at a standstill on the 60 Freeway Wednesday afternoon after a truck crashed and spilled fruit across the highway.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — A truck overturned on the 60 Freeway, sending fruit across the highway and prompting the closure of several lanes Wednesday.

The crash was first reported at around 11 am. on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Grand Avenue in Diamond Bar, just before the 57 Freeway interchange, according to a Sigalert.

The carpool and two left lanes of the freeway were shut down. Motorists were told to expect delays of up to one hour.

Traffic was at a standstill and backed up to Nogales Street as of noon.
